With much prayer and supplication before the Lord, we brought in a family of 4 into our second apartment. What a blessing your donations and prayers were to this family!

When they moved in, they were driving a borrowed vehicle. Through the kindness of our supporters, we had an SUV donated to the ministry. This family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of the church! To love others like Christ loves us is truly a great honor! Thank you for helping us do that.

Most of our requests have been met so far as physical and natural needs. But there are still group activities that could be done. Handwritten letters of encouragement would be a huge blessing to our clients. Looking for another group activity? We are in need of:

  • Basic landscaping;
  • Teaching a lifeskills class, such as cooking, job hunting, etc.;
  • Providng care on-site for children while their parents receive services.

We also have a family membership to the YMCA that allows both our families to be members for only $55 -- regular exercise is a great, healthy coping skill to impart to our clients. If you would like to sponsor our families to attend the YMCA, we would be greatly appreciative.

Please be in prayer as well, as we are seeking to expand the ministry in a variety of ways!

With big plans down the road, we are looking to bring on a part-time employee to help with the admin work. Please consider giving as we would like to raise $12,000 to help with costs for another addition to Miriam's Hope.

We are also always looking for Christian families or individuals to mentor our clients. The role of Mentor requires you to have contact with your client family once a week. This can be a phone call, coffee meeting, dinner together, or another outing. Our current Mentors find it both rewarding and challenging. We know how busy you are are, but to help others is a cornerstone of our faith. Applications can be found online.
