Again we want to thank you for your prayers and financial support. We can do what we do only with your help.

Sharon did get a new visa and returned to her heart's home in May. Linda and Janeece went to Delhi to meet her. We celebrated with our favorite Chinese food. Now Sharon is busy, as usual, as manager of the school.

Janeece left us on June 3 and is now in South Africa filling in for missionaries there.

Mr Bardhan, general manager, has accomplished a lot since he arrived Feb. 1. He has saved us thousands of rupees on food items. He has improved the variety of things the children get for their meals and snacks. He has 2 ponds dug -- which took some of the money he saved -- for water-harvesting and raising fish. He plans to plant crops on much of the empty land we have. He will plant lime trees along the wall of the hospital compound. The limes will be to sell as well as use in the hostel. He has big plans and is very knowledgeable in many areas. We are grateful God sent him to us.

The monsoon season was delayed but has begun now. Our new ponds are full of water as well as most of the wells. Many areas are flooded. A headline in the newspaper yesterday read, "Army on high alert as UP flood toll reaches 80." It should rain all this month as well to really count as a successful monsoon.

We had to suspend Bible School in May and June as all the children had gone home. Since the classes are held outside, individual classes cannot begin now until the rains are over. Right now, everyone meets together for singing, worship, and study for the Bible Quest coming up this month.

Our exam results were good again this year. All 12th students passed, and only 2 students had a supplementary exam in math in 10th class. One of those was a hostel boy.

The Kulpahar Christian Hospital is now closed after 40-plus years. We have been contemplating this move for several years as it was costing us too much to keep open just for the hostel children and a few other patients. Kulpahar now has a good government hospital, and several of our children have been treated there. There are also several doctors in the village now.

It is now time to start work on Linda's visa. Our sources tell us that she should not have to go to the USA right now. We hope that is true. After the general manager is more familiar with the workings of the business part of the mission, then Linda would like me to go for a few months and see family and friends, and visit churches.

Subhan was married in April. Anuj will be married in October. Goldie, Roma, and Jyoti will present us with more grandchildren within a couple of months. Roma is right here, so we will enjoy hers to the fullest.

Thanks again for your part in this ministry. Linda admitted 8 new children this year. As usual, that was more than she had planned but their stories are so pathetic that we have to give in. There are millions of needy children in this country. We cannot help them all, but we can do our part with your help.
