Here is a golf game that I will surely win...I'm playing against a deaf-blind man! How could I lose? It's the annual Deaf Missions golf event. Instead of it benefiting just Deaf Missions, this year we've decided that it should benefit 4 different missions that serve deaf people:

  1. Deaf Institute of Cincinnati, OH, led by Bryan Eubanks (he's new to playing golf);
  2. Deaf-Blind Christian Ministry, also in Cincinnati, led by Rod Burke (he's the deaf-blind man);
  3. Deaf Child Hope of Papillion, NE, led by my son, J.D. King (I taught him to play golf);
  4. Deaf Missions of Council Bluffs, led by Chad Entinger (I have previously defeated him in golf).

Seems I should win. The other 4 will win, too. What?! How can all of us win? Because we are all playing so that deaf people may know Jesus as their personal Savior.

The dollars received will be divided equally among the 4 missions. Chad and I and Jo Krueger of our office staff (she does the hard secretarial work) are thrilled at the thought of hosting this event that will share with other deaf ministris that serve as partners in God's Kingdom.
