In Matthew 6:25-34, we read Jesus' words regarding worry. Basically He says "don't do it." Worrying is a waste of time, because God provides everything we need. A summary of this passage is found in verses 31-33:

"Therefore do not be anxious, saying 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For the Gentiles week after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."

The really fun part of these verses is that God doesn't -- usually -- just make things we need appear out of thin air...although He could if He wanted to. Instead, He moves the hearts of people who are close to Him to act on behalf of the needs of others. And while Jesus is talking here about daily physical needs like food and clothing, God also provides for people's immaterial needs as well. He provides directly through His Spirit working in us individually and also through the hearts of people to act on behalf of others who have a need.

Deaf people have been lacking a translation of God's Word in their native language, and for decades now, we at Deaf Missions have been workign to fill this need. You also have been sharing in this work, because your generosity provides the resources needed to complete the project. I praise God for His wonderful provision, and I thank Him for bringing generous people like you alongside us to make this work possible. Thank you so much, and may God bless you abundantly!
